SingHaiyi appoints Nakano Singapore as main contractor for Sora

Nakano Singapore, a Japanese contractor, has been appointed as the main contractor of SingHaiyi’s upcoming condominium, the Sora. On April 29, the groundbreaking ceremony took place at the site.

The new condo will be located on Yuan Ching Road in front of Jurong Lake Gardens. Sora is the redevelopment and redevelopment from the former Park View Mansion. It sits on 191,978 sq. ft. of a 99-year-leasehold site, purchased by SingHaiyi led consortium in July 2022 for $260m. SingHaiyi, Chip Eng Seng and Ho Lee Group hold a combined 30% stake in the joint-venture.

In a press release, Raymond Chia, CEO of SingHaiyi Group, said, “Our goal is to provide Sora owners with a premium lifestyle that offers a balance between nature, recreation, and luxury.” It was a perfect match with Nakano. They are known for consistently producing exceptional quality.

Chia adds that the concept for Sora aligns with Jurong Lake District’s transformation into an integrated hub for “live-work-play-learn”.

SingHaiyi Singapore and Nakano Singapore have collaborated for the first time on Sora. Kutsuzawa Yoichi, managing director of Nakano in Singapore said: “We are delighted to collaborate with SingHaiyi on the Sora Project as we find great harmony with them in our shared ethos of creating high-quality developments to benefit our clients and customers.”

Nakano Singapore has completed notable projects in Singapore, including the 142-key Artyzen Singapore luxury hotel on Cuscaden Road as well as the 165 unit One-North Eden located at Slim Barracks Rise within one-north.

The public will be able to preview Sora’s sales gallery on Prinsep Street from June 22.
